Pretty cool design. Worked the first time I charged them. Lights are hanging out on the bike. Didn’t turn them on a while. Boom. The back light turned on the front light dead. Charged it- DEAD. It was literally turned on 3x max. Had them for a year. They were not charged from the first time. So I'm disappointed really didn’t use them.. sad face emoji. ☹️
I bought these a little over a year ago, both head light and tail light. I used them pretty sparingly as most of my riding was during the daytime. I ended up moving overseas for 6 months so I left my bike in my climate controlled childhood bedroom during the interim. Needless to say neither light got extensive use, but the taillight just plainly stopped working. The headlight still turns on after several months of not being charge, but the tail light refuses to charge. I can't figure out how this would happen unless they were just manufactured with cheap parts. Needless to say I am incredibly disappointed.
In less than a year both the plastic attachment broke. It was always difficult to turn the lights off and on as the attachment was always twisting and today they just broke. Really disappointing as these are not very cheap and now they are useless...
For the first 4 months, these worked great. Like most other reviewers, I found them annoying/impossible to toggle while mounted. My issue now is that neither the front nor rear lights will take a charge any longer. I’ve tried multiple sources to charge and they are dead. For the price point, it’s absurd that they would just stop working altogether. I’ve read that the 2.0 have improvements over these, but after this experience, I think I’ll be exploring another brand.
Light is wonderfully adaptive. Serves its purpose very well. The people that offered diminutive reviews must have oatmeal for brains. Bottom line...great light that works very well and fills the advertised space for which it was designed! Can't ask for more!
Mechanism to turn light on disintegrated so cannot turn light on this happened with the bought one and the replacement, bad design Nice looking light though
I would like a light with a more permanent mounting bracket. Can easily be stolen. I don’t use it.
Slightly tricky to switch between settings, but once you get the hang of it this is a great light
Agree with everyone in this review. Lights look great and sleek, love the option to recharge, so far no issues with the straps. But the one big thing that these lights are suppose to do- turn off and on while mounted is nearly impossible. Wildly frustrating, I’m ready to throw them across the room, but hold myself back because they are costly. Would be amazing if Thousand designed bike lights with a switch or button and we got to exchange this horrid lights for the updated, practical and user friendly light.
Bought in Jul 23 and by Nov 23, the plastic component has worn off and I cannot switch off the lights...
