We decided to do something a little different this holiday season. We opened the Holiday Wish Fulfillment Center and created a brand new department dedicated only to doing our best to fulfill your holiday wishes, no matter how big or small. With wishes ranging from $10 off a helmet to a trip to Disney World, our Wish Fulfillment Team fulfilled over 300 wishes in just 3 weeks.
We opened the Holiday Wish Fulfillment Center because we believe the holidays are about spreading kindness in everything we do – we hope that you all felt our love this holiday season as we did our best to make your wishes come true.
BEHIND THE SCENES WITH THE WISH FULFILLMENT TEAM:
HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE HOLIDAY WISH FULFILLMENT CENTER
Over 20 days, our team received over 300 wishes – and we did our best to fulfill all of them (some literally, some figuratively). Here are a few of our favorite wishes that we fulfilled exactly how you asked:
1. "My 35-year old daughter was diagnosed with MS last year, severely effecting her mobility. I wish she had a bike she could ride again with her kids." – Judy M.
2. "Our LGBTQ center has lots of young people who ride bikes to attend after-school programming but don't have helmets. For many of these teens it's the only place people use their chosen pronouns. Could you provide helmets for them?" – Nicholas G.
3. "My wish is for my partner to have enough money to be able to purchase science-related curricula and equipment for her 4th grade classroom." – Sarah W.
AND HERE ARE A SOME OF OUR FAVORITE WISHES WHERE WE HAD TO GET A LITTLE BIT CREATIVE:
For us, the greatest part of the HWFC was learning how compassionate, generous, and selfless our community is. OVER 40 of you asked us to donate to various organizations, including People for Bikes, Save the Children, and St. Jude Children's Hospital, totaling over $1,450 donated to non-profits through our campaign. MORE THAN 35 of you asked for free gear to gift to loved ones. And OVER 15 of you wished for some version of peace, joy, and happiness for your friends, family, and complete strangers.
Thank you for sending your wishes to the Holiday Wish Fulfillment Center. We're closed for business now... but maybe you'll see us back here next year. Happy holidays!
